Rimor
Ltd recently commissioned five new CNC machines adding to their
impressive
manufacturing plant in Denmead Hampshire. Here are more details.
1
off VERTICAL CENTER
NEXUS 510C-II

One
of the new machines in the Rimor portfolio is the Mazak "Nexus II"
Series. This is a C frame type vertical machining center for both
economical
and quality machining. The spindle motor employs a high-power AC motor
having
output of 18.5 KW (25HP) built in the spindle for high-speed and
high-accuracy
machining.

Two
other machines are the VTC series which has a #50 spindle taper and a
fixed
table and travelling column. In addition to a wide machining area with
minimum
tool interference, it has fast tool changes and high speed positioning.
The
travelling column design of the VTC series is extremely suitable for
large,
long work pieces. Since the X- , Y- and Z- axes are outside of the
machining
envelope, problems due to chip and coolant accumulation are minimized
to ensure
high accuracy positioning over extended periods of operation.
The
VTC-300C II is a highly versatile vertical machining center with a
large 2000
mm table cross dimension and high speed rapid traverse of up to 36
m/min.
2
off QUICK TURN NEXUS
350-II MY

Another
two machines joining the Rimor work-shop are the “QUICK TURN
NEXUS II
SERIES" which give advanced technology, productivity and value,
providing
very high performance. These CNC turning centers have improved machine
stability, safer operation and enhanced ease of operation by utilising
the 6th
generation CNC system, the Mazatrol Matrix Nexus.
The
main spindle chuck size is 12-inch.
