Dave Wollam

David has over 25 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as a senior manager and director.
He has detailed knowledge of the subsea business with specialist knowledge of the subsea controls business.
As a
mechanical engineer by profession, David has held numerous senior
management roles in engineering, sales, projects and general management.
David
got involved in the subsea business in the early 1980’s at TRW
Ferranti, which was eventually acquired by Aker Kvaerner.
Employed
initially as a Project Engineer, David held numerous senior
management positions which culminated in holding the responsibility for
the Kvaerner Subsea Products business based in Aberdeen.
After
a long career with Aker Kvaerner, David joined Vetco Gray in 2003 with
responsibilities for the Controls business based at Nailsea near
Bristol.
In
2006, David moved to the Vetco office in London as Senior Vice
President for Operations Support with specific responsibilities for
engineering, QHSE and logistics.
On
the sale of the company to GE in April 2007, David left the business
and is now employed in a consultancy basis by BP at Sunbury developing
a global standardisation philosophy for subsea production
equipment.
In
his time away from work David is a passionate Gloucester Rugby and
Wolverhampton Wanderers football supporter and enjoys time relaxing at
his holiday home in Pembrokeshire.
David is happily married to Linda and they have three children, Sarah, 23, Thomas, 21 and Lucy 17.
